A cage ladder is usually used to facilitate access to the roof and mezzanine; high or hazardous locations, such as areas near the edge of a roof or high-voltage power lines; external advertising; access to interior roof or floor hatches; elevator pits; and for access to sewers; and door/wall hatch access.
